Vaccine Injury News

On August 27, 2014, William W. Thompson, Ph.D., a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) senior researcher and coauthor of important papers denying the association of vaccines and neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, released a statement regarding disclosures of alleged CDC data manipulation in those papers. Among other statements, Dr. Thompson has pointed to a positive causal relationship between thimerosal-containing vaccines and neurological disorder such as tics and language delay. Dr. Thompson has also stated that he believes that thimerosal in vaccines causes autism-like conditions. Thompson specifically stated that his fellow CDC researchers failed to follow the study protocol for an important 2004 MMR study that purported to exonerate the MMR vaccine's association with autism. Attorney Robert J. Krakow has explored these issues for years and will closely monitor this developing story, especially to determine whether and how it affects the legal effort to obtain compensation for children who have claimed that their neurological disorders were cause by the effects of vaccination.
